don't buy from them paid over 860 pounds, they are saying they d haven't had money now i have to get the bank on the case and they don't care

I was refunded, but this item despite allowing me to order it at the time I was then told a week later it was out of stock, disappointing as it was something I particularly wanted! All other plants bar one other were received and are of good quality.

Unfortunately it didn’t look very healthy when it arrived. We planted it's ideal conditions and location, however it still doesn’t look good.

After seeing you had hedging and paying and ordering it and waiting two weeks to get a message that you did not have the hedging and refunded our money Very disappointed and nothing to say that you have another size

Took them 10days after purchasing online that they don’t have the stock for all varieties! What poor stock management and customer service, will order elsewhere in future.

Hi Jason, Thanks for your review, Im sure you can understand that with the current pandemic we are struggling slightly. We have reduced staff and reduced courier collections so some orders are taking longer to process. We are sorry that you did not get what you wanted.

I made an online order 5th April n fully understand the difficult times atm but I feel disappointed that there only email was about a review. Today is the 15th n still no information on when I may expect a delivery. I can’t really rate as I don’t have anything.

Company cancelled my order without telling me. Only found out when I enquired about when the plants would be delivered. Re ordered from a different site as I wasn’t satisfied with customer service

Plants arrived quickly but damaged 3 plants ordered all had stems damaged and snapped. Product not as seen in pictures, picture showed single stem but received bush plants with no central leader

Made several calls to find out what time delivery would be made so I had an idea of time to be at house. I was advised they would call me back after contacting driver. Never received any further call and delivery arrived when I was not home and all plants dumped outside my front door. Very poor communications to say the least. Was also advised during the sale process the wysteria plant I had ordered came in leaf which I thought was unusual as they are not evergreen. The sales person advise the picture showing the wysteria was a recent picture. On delivery the plant arrived just as twigs which is as I thought. Clearly sales team do t understand type of plants they’re selling.

I ordered 25 bushey laurels, only got 1 plant that was advertised on the web page the rest looked like skeletons, not impressed. Brian Bray

AVOID! I’m only giving 1 star because I cannot give zero! I wasted £500 with this company, buying 10 leylandi and only 1 survived (All planted in same area) . 3 looked smaller/weaker when they arrived. I sent pictures and asked for just 2 free replacements to see if I could establish them before spending more money. This is the response I got. “Zach has forwarded your emails and pictures onto my self regarding your order of root ball leylandii last November. There is always a risk when opting for the root balls and they can be very difficult to establish. Just because one thrives and one doesn't I'm afraid its just the way it goes. We do say this when we have root balls plants available. We do not guarantee our plant. We do not like to see this happen to our customers and we have a policy off offering half price replacements. This time of year you would be getting pot grown plants which are a lot easier for you to get away.s and once they have left us it is then down to you to look at them.” At the point of sale NO ONE TOLD US ROOT BALLS ARE TRICKY. If they had why would I have risked £500 buying 10 - logic says you would only risk buying one or two to test if they work. Guess what - NO MENTION OF THIS RISK WITH ROOT BALLS ON THEIR WEBSITE EITHER! I accept they made a gesture but only to spend more money with them and no guarantees. AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Don’t risk wasting your money with them!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Grasslands Nursery. I made a purchase for laurel hedging from Grasslands on Wednesday afternoon and selected a next day service. The item was supposed to arrive by Friday latest but didn’t arrive till the following week on 5pm Tuesday evening due to the bank holiday Monday with no contact from Grasslands or the courier company to let us know of any delivery issues. Grasslands only offered a £10 partial refund on the next day delivery fee as a way of apology instead of the £45 we paid for a service we never received. We were lucky to receive the order on Tuesday as the lady at the courier company was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to get the order delivered to us, a helpful service that we did not receive from Grasslands themselves. The communication was incredibly poor from Grasslands, I spoke to someone on live chat early Tuesday morning and it took till 4:20pm to receive an email that just said sorry. We had to push them even to consider a partial refund for the delivery. Grasslands has a lot to learn when it comes to customer service and I will personally not recommend them to friends and family.

Was a lovely plant, but sadly the packaging allowed it to be delivered with the top 12" snapped off. 1st time ordering plants online but would not do it again.

Do not use this Company ever. I bought 130 bare rooted beech in February 2019. Of 13 bundles of ten, one bundle came fully into leaf and perhaps 10 others. I was treated with contempt in email exchanges and told that once plants have left Grasslands their responsibility ceases. A quite extraordinary approach to customer relations. With beech bought from other nurseries in previous years my success rate has been approaching 100%.

Be wary of Grasslands plants. Trees delivered promptly, however one of them was not looking well. Despite all being planted together for several months now, two trees took well but unsurprisingly the third looks withered and sub standard. Contacting Claire for a replacement, I was advised purchasing plants from Grasslands comes at our own risk especially with rootball plants/trees. A fact that is nowhere on their website nor made clear when your pay for healthy plants. Buyers beware customer service non existent if your purchase arrives substandard they do not want to know. Buy at your own risk!

Please do not use this company, ordered a large amount of box plants to arrive within 2 working days, they did not arrive for nearly a week, and when they did they were in a horrendous state. Upon contacting them, they were unbelievably unhelpful, and completely unwilling to offer a partial refund for the damaged (beyond saving) plants. Please take your money and custom elsewhere.

I bought 3 plants from Grasslands via mail order. 2 Hebes were of good quality however the Daphne Eternal Fragrance was displaying evidence of nutrient deficient chlorosis, white powdery fungus on the leaves and die back where the shrub had been pruned in incorrectly. I contacted Grasslands the day after delivery and described the yellowing of the leaves and the other symptoms only to be referred by them to an RHS site and told it was my fault as June is a difficult month to plant and it is a lack of water...... Ridiculous.. I had received the diseased plant only the day before.
