I ordered two large, mature Conitus plants in 10L pots and expected something that looked comparable to the picture on the website. I’m aware that plants are cut back and it would be starting to grow new leaves. What arrived were poorly packaged with a single piece of paper wrapped around the pots. Much of the soil and woodchips had fallen out. More importantly one of the plants was very much smaller than the one shown on the website so I emailed the company. Their reply was that the plant had been cut back and would ‘almost double’ in size over the summer. However where the braches had been cut back they were just a couple of mm thick (see the photo) meaning they were never much longer than they are now. Almost doubling in size in a year would still not be as large as the plant shown on the website. This is a small plant in a large pot and I’m sure no one would pay almost £50 for it in a garden centre. This is very disappointing.

Spent 1300 on trees and bushes. A tree needed to be returned on understanding we would have to buy another to replace it. When refunded we was charged a re stocking charge of 10% and not given full refund on that tree which was over 100 pounds less than the one we bought for its replacement. The delivery also took a long time to arrive. Won't be using again. Terrible customer service. Pics on site don't match what you recieve.

My bare rooted Portuguese laurels arrived looking half dead, I sent the nursery a picture of them saying I didn’t think they would all survive at this point. Several weeks later when quite a few were totally dead I sent another photo and I was told bare root plants were hard to establish and I might have done better with pot grown plants. They wouldn’t replace the dead plants, offered 20% off replacements but I had to pay the postage. Poor customer service I would say. Also parcelforce will no longer leave parcels when you are out and I was told to drive 15 miles to a depot to collect I was out in working hours. All in all a bad experience

The hedging that i ordered was exactly as shown on the website pictures and deserved 5 stars , but sadly the customer service was terrible, i was charged for a pallet despite phoning to ask if this was necessary (and was told it was) . The order took 10 days to arrive, even though on day one i received an email to say it was being processed (wasn't a big order ) and even though bare root it spent from at least Friday to Monday of the 10 days somewhere with parcel force because guess what even though i was charged for a pallet it was just sent in brown paper bags with Parcelforce. I did send several emails over the 10 days to see what was happening but with no joy and finally resorted to phoning which was not a pleasant experience both times i called. Hoping the fact that they were bareroot and left out of soil and water for all this time that they have not been affected ?

Disappointed. Would not recommend online order. After 3 weeks chat and phone calls delivery finally arrived. My excitement was short lived.

If you’re going to order don’t expect the delivery quickly or any communication from this company very annoying to have to chase them 3 times.

3 weeks to receive order and very poor communication, had to call twice to find out when I was going to receive it and then still had no idea as was with courriers for 5 days before arriving. As a gardening professional, I understand hedging season can create longer lead times- so just give an accurate delivery date on your website? You cant expect professionals, who have jobs booked, to just sit for 3 weeks with no information and wait, if I've been told max 10 days over the phone. Price was competitive, but not much cheaper than other suppliers to be honest. Based on the service, not value for money.

Hello I have just received my delivery which I ordered on August 7th a long time considering I only live 45 minutes drive away.....After contacting you I was told the plants were delivered on the 15th which was not true...not sure what happened in the end but the plants arrived at last.....but on the email it now looks like the price is now higher than the original price so I hope I havent been charged a higher price and that I havent been charged twice! So please make sure that is not the case in your billing department. Thank you Linda Roger

Communication good, pricing good but ordered 3x 120-130cm laurels and only 1 was within this range. The other 2 looked like they had been pruned and only just made it over a metre. Unfortunately they have only just been checked by myself in preparation for job tomorrow. Another member of staff received the order!

Golobsum platanoid arrived looking quite worse for wear, when questioned with driver, advised to give up to 7 days and contact if no improvement, having contacted via phone, advised to email, having emailed twice, no response .. very disappointing after sales service!

Grasslands delivered the wrong plant. I contacted the support team two weeks ago to report the fact and asked for the plant to be replaced. Instead of agreeing to replace the plant, Vikki from Grasslands offered a 25% discount on the one that had been wrongly delivered, which I accepted. Two weeks on, I have yet to to receive the discount that was offered or a reply to my subsequent email to Grasslands asking for an update. Very disappointed. Will not be ordering from this nursery again.

Purchased 3 green privets (160-170cms), but not the quality we purchased in August 2021. Not the same growth and too many wispy branches from the base.

2 stars because of the aftercare service. The plant was not in the best of conditions and the leaves looked very yellow which did raise concerns. I reached out to the support team via email to advise of this and the response I got was 'if you collected them in person, you would have seen them!' I am not trying to be awkward here but from a customers point of view, that response could have been a lot better and extra care should be taken when/if responding to customers via email. However, the garden itself where the plants are all kept and the cafe are excellent. It was a good day out.

Two of the 12 trees we ordered are doing very poorly despite being treated the same as the other 10. I’d recommend seeing the plants you are to buy from a local nursery if possible rather than buying blindly online.
