3 Wysteria trees were delivered all treated the same within a week one was dead as a door nail. No refund or replacement was offered and unhelpful customer service. Do not risk your hard -earned money.

Ordered two hydrangeas which arrived in very poor condition, both had fallen out of their pots, lost compost and had several broken branches. Contacted Grasslands who basically said: this happens, get them in the ground and they will recover! There was no offer of replacements or refund of postage (which is expensive). The plants were sold as being in 3litre pots but, in fact, had quite small root balls recently placed in a 3 litre pot, a bit of a con really. I think this contributed to the plants easily coming out of the pots in transit. When we contacted them again to say this was not satisfactory, they simply did not reply

I ordered a birch tree, had no idea tree had been delivered, didn't even have the courtesy to ring the doorbell. Just left outside, got blown over and trodden on. No instructions on how to plant etc. Tree turned yellow within a week and lost all its leaves. That's expensive fire wood!

Arrived with branches snapped, not supported at all on a pallet taking over 5 days to get to us with no delivery timetable. Refused the delivery so it went back and then got a call asking when they could pick the plant up. Still not received the refund for the plant or £30 postage and no further communican bar asking me to review them.

Received several diseased specimens with rust spot holes from fungus which spread to the others as planted as a hedge, dismissive replies to our emails to customer service so I would avoid and buy from your local nursery.

I would never buy from Grasslands again, very poor customer service. Many of the laurels were covered on fungus rust spots and subsequently spread to the other bushes as these were planted as a hedge. We contacted Grasslands with our concerns of the poor quality of the specimens received and we’re disappointed with their dismissive replies. They maintained the classic signs of fungus were from cold damage, these holes and rat spots persisted and spread despite much warmer weather than the severe winter conditions they advised had caused the damage. Two of the twelve ornamental pear trees we received look pathetic even now after months of tender care but due to the lack of action from our Laurel complaints I didn’t see the point in contacting Grasslands, despite spending nearly £2k with them. I would recommend buying from your local nurseries where you can see the quality of the plants you will get, as once Grasslands have your money, sadly they just don’t care about providing good customer service thereafter.

Diseased tress then pass it off as your fault due to drought and not watering enough

I think your customer service is awful and I will not be purchasing any more plants from you in the future although I have spent over £600 with you recently.

have been told my delivery is due today. I have waited in all day and it never arrived. I was told that the driver was on route yet nothing. Absolutely unacceptable to miss a day of work and not receive my delivery

This shrub/tree was very disappointing. It was very small with only one stem. Nothing like the photo they have on their website to advertise the size of the shrub. I did complain to the company and all I got from them that it was in a dormate state and will soon grow. Absolutely disgusting customer service for something I paid over £100 for.

Absolutely awful - ignored delivery instructions (twice), incurred extra delivery charges due to their mistakes and then try to charge the customer £70 having not delivered a single plant. In dispute! I think you can always tell the nature of a business by what they do when something goes wrong - how they respond is a measure of integrity, ethics and service standards.

I ordered a plant and though I paid £34.50 and added my shipping address grasslands emailed me to say the plant was ready for collection. I phoned to say I'd ordered it for delivery the woman I spoke to was unhelpful and said I hadn't and I needed to pay a further £9+ to have it delivered! It arrived over a week later bone dry in the pot !! For a cost of over £45 for a common rhododendron I can say quite honestly that this was the worst experience I've had from an online purchase. By contrast I purchased the exact plant in lidl for £8 and its far healthier

So I placed an order on the 3rd of March via a web site that said they had 5 Fatsia Spiders 15ltr pots in stock, delivery was booked but the delivery didn't turn up. Then I was told that they weren't in stock at the time I placed the order and that it would be a couple of weeks, then a couple of weeks passed I was told that the plants arrived frost damaged. And that it would be a couple of weeks before new stock arrived. It's now the 23rd of March and I am still waiting for delivery.

overall good - but in my experience the online ordering, delivery and communication needs to be improved

Plants arrived much shorter that advertised. Contacted customer service who said “they will grow soon” Not really the point when the larger you order the more they cost!
