One of the hedging plants delivered was in very poor condition, and had since been binned. I was continously bluffed off by the customer service department. The cost of the plant is irrelevant, if you buy an item you want it in perfect condition.

Hello for over 3 weeks. I’ve been trying to communicate with Grasslands with very little reply I purchased two wisteria trees 6 foot three weeks ago they should’ve been white however it was apparent they are purple. I pacifically requested White as I purchased 4 the previous year. Grasslands even sent a picture to me confirming that they will white And label confirms white, in 6 foot in fact they wasn’t the plants have very good condition however the customer service is non-existent and three weeks down the line. They still haven’t confirmed what might be happening. Sheila from stockport

I ordered my plants 3 weeks ago and they have still not arrived! I’ve not heard anything about when they’re going to come :(

Was sold 7 fully grown cherry laurels ready to plant in October 2023. I’ve explained they will be potted in massive planters. Was told it’s ok. Planted them as instructed. Out of 7 now 6 is basically dying, even after pruning to half size (as recommended), and being treated with cherry laurels food etc. Paid nearly £600 and business don’t take any responsibility for selling clearly diseased trees (especially that one is doing well and they all planted in same place). Will never do business again and highly discouraged anyone else from doing it.

Bamboos are overpriced & you certainly do not get what you pay for. You have to wait 10 days just to receive a delivery date. Delivery driver does not call you on the day to let you know ETA so your waiting in all day. Everyone has a sat nav these days so it wouldn’t be too difficult to let you know the time of arrival.

The products look great on screen but they have yet to be delivered a month after ordering. Apparently the plants have been sitting in a warehouse for 10 days, obviously not watered because the nursery did not tell the courier company what my address was yet could take payment with the right address as confirmed by the nursery! Still no planta

I'm not very happy with my order did not look like the plant in the picture it looks like it's of very bad quality nothing like the picture. Just a tall stem with a few tiny leafs on top.

Plants arrived damaged. I contacted Grasslands immediately: via phone and email. I also sent images. Over the course of six days I was first told to plant them anyway, asked to send more images and told a manager would be consulted. I asked for the plants to be returned. I wasn’t offered a refund or replacement. I’m an avid gardener who very regularly buys plants - mostly directly in-person from garden nurseries, but I’ve made about half a dozen online purchases. I never had to ask for a replacement or refund. The customer service I received is really disappointing.

Very disappointed with the plants I received having ordered 3 plants from the website based on pictures of staff members holding the plants. They looked large in the photos, however what I received was small. Nothing like the photos. Customer support were dismissive of my complaint even when I pointed out the deception. No one wants to pay for a large plant only to receive a small one. I would avoid ordering from Grasslands again. Judge for yourself see photos below.

I bought some plants which were delivered on the 19 of February this year. I was very impressed with the quality of the plants but found that one of the peonies I had ordered was replaced with another which was very different in form and size. Instead of a 2 litre pot of Alexander Fleming, I had a 11cm pot of Paeonia lactiflora ‘Nymphe'. I have emailed 3 times ( 20th, 22nd and 29th February ) to say that I didn't like the replacement peony which was sent without my consent ( contrary to your terms and conditions), and asked for a replacement Alexander Fleming ( which according to your website was in stock) or a full refund. I have not had a reply to my email of 29 February yet. Please would you sort it out. I had planned to buy more plants from your nursery when we received the order on the 19th because they were such good quality but, I am afraid the lack of Customer support has put me off.

Would I use this company again no they have no customer service skills what so ever most disappointing experience the product came as a bunch of sticks nothing like the picture excuse was the leaves all drop in the winter needed they for screen ...

All of the hellebores I ordered x 5 (costing just under £100) arrived damaged with the stems on each broken. I contacted the customer service team and sent photos but am struggling to get a reply! Not a good customer experience.

Customer service and communication was extremely poor! Placed order called to confirm delivery, advised it was 10 days - which was great as coincided with my gardener being available and I was going away to visit family for half-term. I was away to visit family in midlands( as half-term) and had family up from South (London and Sussex) as it was also my nieces 18th we had family dinner planned - I received text to advise delivery was taking place next day! Tried to call/email no answer! Drove back for delivery which was fine - apart from part of my order missing! Advised it wasn’t available (but no notification). Plants were poor and I duly emailed with photos. I received copy & paste responses! I had to call to 3 times to then get manager call me in my way to work! (Despite advising when I was available)! Shocking service - would not recommend at all as my garden scheme is ruined.

Purchased supposedly 6 Phormuim Cream Delight from the online ordering service Unfortunately for me Graaslands delivered the wrong plants. As their website states that colour and shape of thier plants may differ from their advertised photo I accepted this as I thought they had delivered the right plants. 2 of the plants had loose soil in the pots that gave me the impression that these had been put in to 3 litre pots from a smaller pot. This meant that the soul from the root ball fell away. I planted them all out but sent and email to Graasland questioning this. Now coming up to date, one of the Phormuim was not growing well. Surprisingly it was one where the soil fell away from the root ball. I decided to go to a garden centre and purchase another Cream Delight. When I got it home and compared to the Phormuims planted in my garden the colouring of the leaves did not match. I then sent an email to Grasslands to question why I hadn’t received the correct plants. No reply for 3 days so I phoned them to be basically told as the order was 8 months old and i didn’t query at the time of delivery it was basically my fault. I don’t even know what Phormuim plant I have planted in my garden. Cream Delight is a smaller size and the one in my garden could grow 2 or 3mr. Based on this i will need to remove all these plants and replace them at my own expense. I paid Grassmere over £100 to supply me the right plant and they don’t want to refund me anything for THEIR ERROR. I will never use this company again and I would suggest that you clear check your order on delivery because thier customer care policy as shown me they justt try want your money and take little responsibility for thier rrrors

I have been asked to pay for returns for an item that was faulty in the first place . Really unhappy with the customer service . I won’t be buying again from Grasslands.

I ordered 2 Ilex Cranata Ilex spirals - they arrived a lot wider than shown on the website. I paid £288.50 including £30 post and packing - however when they arrived they were too wide for the size I had available and so had to reject the delivery....they charged me £95 for the items to be returned and for the 2 items to be put back 'into stock' and refused to refund back the £30 initial postage..so I am now £125 out of pocket for the reverse transaction. I have been in touch with them but they refuse to budge.

Wish I could give them 0 for the poorest service in the world. They asked where to drop of the plants and then drop them somewhere completely different. The delivery driver who arrive 6am went into the neighbour's property to take pictures of the plants which is so bizarre. When I contacted the company the woman was playing the blame game. Plus I 3 plants for £40+ and bought one taller plant for almost £65 and all 4 plants arrived the same exact size of a £40+ plant with most of the leaves going yellow and they are refusing to refund the difference of £15 for the 1 plant being smaller and instead threaten to collect all 4 plants. With service like this they can keep their lousy plants anyway.
