I was very disappointed by the condition of the this and the other acer I received. It was shrivelled with lifeless curled up leaves and I will be suprised if it survives. This is a pitty because other plants from Grasslands Nursery have been in very good condition

As always with Grasslands: good quality tree, stressful experience with rude delivery driver (who arrived at 7am)

First order damaged in transit. Spoke to someone at Grasslands who said they would give me a call back and did not. Second delivery arrived on 22nd July. Ordered on 5th July. One plant only.

Well packed and general quality was good the downside , although in pyracantha 3ltr pots I was expecting plants to be larger both in height and spread 10cm high and 20cm wide ,roots very dry on these 3 where as my other order choisya was moist therefore suggesting they were not watered pre delivery. I planted after soaking overnight hopefully I can grow to a reasonable height / spread the during summer .

Overall we are happy with the trees, however one of the trees was quite bare/dead on one side, if I had the choice I would not have picked that tree, especially for £250. I also assumed there might be some assistance getting them into place due to the size/weight of the trees, but they were delivered on a pallet and left.

The staff are helpful and on the whole the plants are great quality, however I bought 2x buxus balls one had mares tail in the pot and the other had bins weed. This meant I had to return the plants which was a real pain. So make sure you check the plants carefully I you don't want to introduce unwanted plants into your garden.

The product ( Magnolia De. Festirose 15 Litre Pot)was fine but the delivery time was far too long . It was probably stated on the website but 10 working days is a bit to long. I actually orderd on the 20/4 and received on the 8/5 so it took even longer

I have been a regular customer of Grasslands for some years and always found their products of excellent quality and price - until the last delivery of 70 2 litre Augusta Hidcote Lavender and one 7.5 lltre Jonagold apple. The items were delivered to my client late on a Friday evening, ie, too late to plant on the same day. I attended first thing the following day and was extremely dissppointed to find that ALL items were extremely dry and watered everything. The apple had tipped over and was also so dry that it had easily fallen out of its pot. I appreciate Lavender should not be soaking but the dryness was at an unacceptable level and I wonder if this possibly indicated that the on-line section of business is so busy that normal attention to stock is not at the previous super level. I am in direct communication as, although the plants appear OK, I am concerned about them surviving. I would usually rate Grasslands at 5* with a recommend of 10 but, on this occasion 3* On a minor matter, the delivery was made by Grasslands (Lee) who as usual was very helpful but I would hope for delivery to be quicker than 'up to 10 days' as garden planning generally requires quicker attention. Perhaps again this reflects how busy the business is becoming.

Grasslands were quick to appreciate the photo of the plant I received and were immediately apologetic that it was not up to standard. They offered to reduce the price by half, but I instead took their offer of a full refund. It's therefore 3 stars as this whole process took some three weeks and upset my gardening plans. I was however very happy with the caring customer support.

Thuja Brabant. Trees delivered quickly, and in good condition, BUT, much much smaller than I was expecting. The photographs are very generous. You will need to order a much bigger tree than you think.

Thuja's were in good condition when they arrived, except for 4, which were broken at the top (likely from transport) however, another one of the supplied trees was broken at the top so it was only 1.8m in height - well below the size ordered. Unfortunately, the damage was not fresh (was dry and the top and that part was completely missing - had been caused well before the delivery) and was shipped in that condition. It was an order for 41 trees, so some damage could be expected during delivery, but shipping a tree that had clearly been damaged days before being sent to a customer and it being well under the height ordered was a little disappointing. Overall, an efficient service and seemingly healthy trees in the main - shame about the tree that really should have been rejected prior to shipping.

I have used Grasslands for many years and always found their plants to be of good quality and price. Their staff are generally knowledgeable and helpful. However, I recently purchased a large plant using their website. It stated that there were 24 in stock and that they were usually ready for collection by 9am the following day but not to visit to collect before receiving the 'OK' e-mail. Fair enough. Then, no e-mail. Gave it a few days and 'phoned them only to be told that their supplier hadn't delivered even though the item was 'in stock'. Eventually, after a fortnight and a few 'phone calls I was told that it was waiting for me, still no e-mail. So, bottom line, I waited a fortnight for an 'in stock' item and had to chase them up to get my plant that I'd already paid for. The idea of ordering on-line is to make it easier, not to wind the customer up to the point of wanting to cancel the order. Great plants, rubbish e-mail admin. I will not be using their website again!

Dear Nigel Thank you for your continued support over the years—we truly value loyal customers like yourself and are pleased to hear that you’ve consistently found the quality of our plants and service from our team to be positive. That said, we’re very sorry for the recent experience with your online order. We completely understand your frustration with the lack of communication and the delay in collecting an item that was marked as in stock. While our system aims to reflect real-time availability, on occasion it may still show items as in stock while they’re not quiet ready. We know this can be misleading and are actively working to improve both our stock accuracy and the reliability of our collection notifications. Your feedback about our email admin is noted, and we’ll make sure it’s shared with the relevant team to help prevent this happening again. We hope we can restore your confidence in our online service and continue to be your go-to for quality plants in the future. Kind regards, Paul

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re sorry to hear that your recent experience didn’t meet the expectations set by your previous orders. Your feedback is important to us, and we strive to improve our service continuously. It's worth mentioning that the wisteria is a deciduous plant and looses it's leaves in winter. They will soon be bursting out for the spring and will again match the photo. Best regards, Grasslands
