I bought a multi stemmed amalanchia and was very pleased to find it. I had it delivered to Leeds, so the total cost to me was about £150. When it arrived, I was disappointed. It had three main stems, but they had not been pruned correctly so they were growing across each other. If I pruned it correctly now, I would only have one stem left. I have had to try to rectify the problem by putting in three linked tree stakes and bending the branches outwards. I can understand that if this was one of the last plants available, it might not be the best. Considering it’s poor form, I think it should have been sold as a second at a discounted price.

To be honest, we were disappointed. The plants looked nowhere near as healthy as, or even particularly resembled the pictures shown. We’ve repotted & fed them, & hopefully they will pick up. Ultimately, we’ve put these issues down to time of year & delivery process, plus they were half price.

Worth the journey to see what Grasslands was like after good information by other people but it's not for me I prefer a garden centre.

Tree leaves don't look healthy quite a lot of brown, sent a note to customer service they said it will be OK in time and nothing major to worry about.

Tree looked healthy but quite a few of the apples were diseased with brown rot within a few days of delivery. I sent a note support and asked for advice on dealing with issue but was told they can't advise on it and suggested I look up rhs site.

Good web site, competitive price. Delivered on time and offloaded quickly. Good communication with driver. Quality of trees is questionable. 3 of the 4 good. One very poor. One of the trees is in my opinion damaged and very questionable if it will survive. I have photographed in detail and will attach photos.

I contacted Grasslands to say that I couldn’t take delivery on 28, 29, and 30 July, due to being away for the weekend. I received a call confirming that this information would be passed on to the carrier. However, on my return on 30 July I found that the delivery had been made on 28 July, and had been sitting in my front garden for 2 days. Not happy. This would probably prevent me from dealing with Grasslands again.

I recently bought 6 potted laurel bushes. The plants arrived very promptly via Parcel Force. Unfortunately 3 of the pots were broken. This was due to the way they were packed. They came 2 to a box but the box was too small to stand the plants side by side and one was stuck on top of the other. Obviously the carrier did not take care when handling the boxes and this resulted in the lower pot in each box being broken. The plants themselves were fairly sturdy and in good order but you have to find another way to package them for delivery. Perhaps a slightly larger box? I have read another review where this has happened and it doesn't seem to have done much good.

The Hibiscus arrived well-packaged, however, it did look a bit sorry for itself. It was planted and has been watered well but some of the lower leaves are still turning yellow. Keeping our fingers crossed that it will be okay in time.

However - the trees were very dry in the pots (Bone dry in fact) and they are yellowing at the bottom. I have been watering them every evening during this weather but do have concerns.

I'd would prefer , as a professional, to be given at least an am/pm time slot. The order came at around 3.45/50 meaning I lost a days work effectively. I have no issues, however, with plant quality . Its a shame I can't collect from the nursery anymore.

We bought (5) 5-6ft red Robin hedges for what was the best price we could find. Overall I am happy but they did arrive incredibly dry and definitely in need of some love.

Ordered 14 x Privet Hedging Plants (10 litre pots at 125 / 150 cm tall). Arrived within a week OK but plants were loose and scattered about the lorry (most of them tipped over) and therefore not packaged or banded in anyway. Nonetheless, they survived the journey relatively undamaged. No complaints about the height of the plant at 5ft - 6ft tall but this was the issue....very tall and spindly. Have completely cut them down in height to 10 inches to get them to bush out (see photos). Grasslands should follow their own advice and cut them down by 50% per growing season. Could see that this had not been done and that they had been grown for height and had not been trimmed for a year or two. All nurseries are the same I suppose as many customers seem to be more impressed with height than thickness. At the end of the day I suppose you are paying for the age / establishment of the root and in this respect they are fine. Average score, as no better / no worse than other nurseries I have bought from. Plants not quite as good as the pictures even when considering we are still early in the growing season for these semi-evergreen plants. Overall OK, no major issues.

The box was way to big for my purchase and the pots and grass wasn’t together when opening the package. As far as I’m aware it was kept up right as stated on the box. Need cardboard pot holder for each plant to keep in place. Luckily mine was grass but if it had flowers on it they would have broken.
