“Having been customers for major items introduced by Barnes walker for 15-16 years we were very disappointed with customer service on this occasion . David and the tattooed lady were exceptional on our Sunday visit when we spent over £750 . They were super helpful and told us we could exchange anything if it wanted right. I returned on Monday to replace an ilex with a 470 piece plus other items which took our overall spend to more than £1000 and I expected an uplift in discount as it was a part of the same order. This was all too much for Andrew and ‘the office’ and could not be accommodated. Andrew came back from the office with a single word 5%. No apology . The additional stuff was to be treated as a separate order… hardly a good recognition of a significant order. In addition it took in excess of 20 minutes to get the card machine to work. The planned delivery was delayed due to hot weather - which was fine - but then the email arrived splitting the order into three separate deliveries at 2pm, 3.30 and 4pm . Couldn’t get hold of office to see what was going on. No delivery at 2 or 3:30 only for 4pm to be progressively changed to 615 when three pieces were delivered by Adrian and one of them was wrong! I called the office on the number Adrian used and was told I had to write in for the matter to be resolved. I refused to write in and the lady refused to be more accomodating. My wife and I came down to the nursery only again to be told we had to write in to resolve the matter which I refused to do. My wife found our missing item still in the bay with our name on!!! We chose to bring the piece home in the car and politely asked Andrew for a piece of plastic to protect the car . He said you don’t have any plastic sheet and he couldn’t help. I told him that David had kindly provided us with a piece of plastic on the original Sunday afternoon for some of our purchases that day. Andrew grudgingly found us some plastic and helped us load the piece in the car. After all we had gone through with the purchase, shortchanged on our discount by circa £60, wrong delivery which we went out of our way to to resolve and he couldn’t or didn’t want to provide us with a piece of plastic sheet took the biscuit. So our experience was not good , we only hope that the items bought can restore our faith in Grasslands.”

“Having ordered three ilex Jennys, they were sent to us by the Royal mail .two of them in one box and one in another. Although they were not damaged one of the 30 cm balls is only half developed as the back half has nothing there. Must've been grown very close to another one and shoots didn't develop. Contacted the nursery to ask if they could replace it and they said it would grow within a week. It's been a week now and there is absolutely no growth whatsoever never mind making it up to a 30 cm ball. Although the plants look very healthy, I would've thought that they would of sent a replacement.”

“Grasslands Nursery service was excellent, delivery was poor. We Purchased 7 x 1.8M tall trees with compost and due to the heatwave the delivery was rightfully delayed until the weather was suitable for transporting them. This should've been a 5 star rating however the delivery tracking number did not work so we asked grasslands when it would be delivered and was informed Thursday but the order did not arrive. We had to find the delivery company online and go direct to them for an answer. They were reluctant to confirm a time but we had commitments, they did finally provide us with a delivery time. I would absolutely purchase from Grasslands again but you need to sort this issue out, it does affect customer satisfaction and feedback. Delivery notification is important to ensure someone is there to receive the goods. The goods turned up in great condition.”

“Beautiful, healthy plant arrived well packaged. Very Impressed. Also appreciative of the care taken to not send the plant during the extreme hot weather to avoid it suffering dehydration in transit. Really impressed with Customer Services who responded very promptly when I contacted them. I felt like a valued customer and would certainly come back in the future.”

“I am a new customer to grasslands and I have just received my order i am so impressed with the packaging nice stong box plants taped together nicely so no moving around during transport, arrive in excellent condition will just need a little watering later. Lovely healthy plants ..I think I can say I will be purchasing again as soon as I can find room in my small garden ...a big thank you to grasslands for a lovely service”
