“Lovely mature laurel rootball plants from a great nursery. Ordered right at the end of the rootball season( 31st March) so many thanks to Steve and the team at Grasslands for just squeezing our order in. Staff very nice and helpful and delivery driver was excellent. One star deducted as the communications between ordering and delivery could have been much better and more frequent. Overall a very good experience and plants look great. Picture below a month after planting.”

“My 3 Annabelle hydrangeas arrived on time. Sadly one of them was damaged (the box was too). They kindly offered me a 10% refund on the one plant. They plants are in situ now and the 3rd one will hopefully look better next year!”

“Plants received were well packaged and undamaged on delivery. Plants were as per the pictures on the website. Delivery does seem to take the maximum time indicated for delivery and had to phone up to chase.”

“Very pleased with the quality of the tree, when I took it out it was swarming with ants and the little sods bit me all up the arms, I think it was because the soil in the pot was very dry. But very happy with the tree. Came on a pallet and the driver refused to take this leaving me to have to go to the local tip which was a bit of a pain, thought you should know this. David Leach.”

“The plant arrived well packaged and supported inside the box and the plant was healthy. I was very surprised and disappointed how small the Daphne was for a plant advertised in a 4ltr pot that I paid for. It would have fitted comfortably into a 2ltr pot. It certainly wasn't the size advertised. It appeared to have been freshly potted as the soil was very soft surrounding it and although the roots looked healthy there wasn't a large root ball associated with a plant grown into a 4ltr pot. If you're supposed to receive the plant advertised in the picture then it's sadly fallen short.”

“Recently purchased (online) three standard ilex's. Delivered a couple of days later. The root balled trees arrived in good condition. Only down side was that I was not able to view the trees when I visited Grasslands before purchasing.”

“Lovely tree (Cornus contraversa 'Variegata') and delivery was excellent. Alex took a lot of trouble and was able to move the large tree in its pot close to the planting site. Very pleased.”

“Very pleased with the trees but delivery was disappointing. Would have liked more than 24 hours notice of delivery and, although I requested delivery to a side gate, the trees were delivered to the front driveway. The delivery driver did not ring the doorbell or knock at the door but just made the delivery and left. Would also would have welcomed some planting guidance.”

“I am pleased to be able to replace a wonderful and very large plant some 15 years old with a new plant that although small provides a good replacement of a much loved plant. My only criticism is that the plant sent has a slightly thin side which I will "hide" when placing in the garden. C B Hepworth”

“POSITIVES. *Comprehensive website providing detailed information in a clear easily accessible way. *Contact by telephone excellent - clear communication; advice given as requested; timely response to messages. *Delivery efficient: arrived within estimated time and the driver helpful in placing the trees where requested; good 'packaging' of trees trees to protect them during transportation; . * Two standard photinias and two bamboos in good condition and as described on the website. RESERVATION. Of the two standard photinias one has a very good symetrical shape whereas the other is disappointing in comparison having a slightly more squashed appearance on one side with fewer shoots and an almost perpendicular lead branch. Both were planted within 3 days of delivery and are showing good growth.”
