Bought some trees spent a lot of money. Happy with price and delivery but absolutely gutted since trees were delivered and planted my grass has been eaten alive and gone from luscious green to bearly any grass left in places. Especially where the trees were layed down on delivery. I believe they were infested with leather jacket lavae as I now have an infestation in the grass and going to cost a lot to sort out. Was a lovely new grass now awful to look at

Poor quality plant supplied won’t replace or refund. They say RHS care instructions are wrong. Poor customer service photo below shows plant supplied with dead leaves next to pot

Hamamelis inter ruby glow 3l, whilst the pot size was as stated the plant itself was very small and absolutely nothing like the picture that accompanied the plant on the website. You're better off going to a local nursery and having a look first.

Hedge plants appear fine, but the delivery process was really frustrating. I ordered the plants and received an immediate confirmation email, which was great. Three days later I got a message saying “we’ve started digging… we’ll send an email shortly to confirm delivery.” Then nothing for 14 days. I received another update saying the order had been completed, along with a tracking number. The tracker suggested delivery would be attempted in a couple of days, I stayed home to take delivery but no delivery happened. A few days later I received another delivery notification, this one had a specific delivery slot. The slot came and went with no delivery, and the status tracker changed to 'delivery abandoned'. After chasing, I got another delivery notification with a time slot that afternoon. In the end, the plants arrived 26 days after the “we’ve started digging” email. The plants themselves seem fine, but the communication and delivery experience was really poor.

I've been very disappointed, esp as Grasslands were recommended to me.. One bush was very pot bound. A couple didn't look healthy at all.. My gardener said 'time would tell' if they survive.. Not cheap either..

Dear Mrs. Jack, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your concerns and would like to help clarify what you're observing with your plants. You placed your order on 22nd October, which is late autumn. Several of the plants in your order are deciduous species, which means they naturally lose their leaves and enter dormancy during this season. Specifically: Aucuba Japonica Crotonifolia - Evergreen, should retain foliage Euonymus Emerald and Gold - Evergreen Kniphofia Pineapple Popsicle - Herbaceous perennial (dies back in winter) Salvia May Night - Herbaceous perennial (dies back in winter) Elaeagnus x ebb. Compacta - Evergreen Weigela Florida All Summer Monet - Deciduous (loses leaves in autumn/winter) Cotinus coggygria Lilla - Deciduous (loses leaves in autumn/winter) At this time of year, it's completely normal for the deciduous and herbaceous plants to look dormant or less healthy as they prepare for winter. This is not a sign of poor quality - it's their natural seasonal cycle. They will regenerate beautifully come spring. Regarding the pot-bound plant, this can actually indicate a well-established root system. Your gardener is quite right that time will tell - spring will be the true test when these plants break dormancy.

Sorry for the poor review but the plants arrived nearly dead with broken parts to the plants and damage in transit. I know plants can not be delivered wet but these had not had water for a very long time and were in a very poor state when arrived with us. They are happy to replace 4 but this is still not a good way to send out plants.

2 of the 5 plants were spindly and inadequate.

Bought 6 plants, two of which died in their pots. They were expensive, but terrible quality. Grasslands have refused any responsibility for sending me these weak plants, and I am furious.

We’re very sorry to hear of your disappointment, Will. The plants were supplied in good health, as shown in our dispatch photos. Once they leave the nursery, they experience different conditions, and there’s simply no way for any grower to send out plants that are “ready to die” a few days later. Hydrangeas are particularly sensitive to water changes, and sudden wilt usually results from post-delivery stress rather than poor quality. We did offer a credit for the affected plants as a goodwill gesture and remain happy to help with aftercare advice.

Disappointingly my Cotinus arrived with what looked like mildewed leaves. The response to my email requesting help was a convoluted affair blaming possible silt residue from their ponds and suggesting I wash the leaves in milk or wait for the rain, as the disfiguring mottling might eventually disappear. As the plant had been bought as a housewarming gift there was no time to wait for the rain and washing in milk had no discernable effect on the leaves, I was forced to visit a garden centre to buy a replacement.

The root ball trees, as you know, came with no instructions and died soon after planting as they had no roots. Although I was offered new trees at a discount, it took a long time to come to this solution and I have paid out £1,220 in total. So no, would definitely not recommend, not a positive experience

I ordered 3 x Pinus Mugo ‘Varella’. I specifically stated I needed these to be as identical ‘as is possible’. However, despite the assistant saying she would note my request on the paperwork, disappointingly I received 2 x Varella and 1 x ‘Benja In’. I am now awaiting replacement.

Plants were good, still not had complete order nearly two weeks later one box outstanding, first three boxes got delayed in transit as they got damaged and one box never arrived, waiting on the last parcel to come hopefully tomorrow. None of the above is grasslands fault, could have used a better or more speedy delivery company had to cancel my gardener twice already. Can't fault the quality of the plants though.
