Plants where under sized when I queried this was told they recommend you cut the plants back by a third . What is the point of paying extra for taller plants?? Very Poor service from customer service and won’t be using the again

Arrived bad state....unusable Requested refund with minutes of receiving package crushed and blackened leaves which must have been lying around for some time Refund not actioned - just ignored Unfair

Hi Maria, I have check on your order, you have ordered Hawthorn Hedging bare root, This will have brown leaves at this time of year, Its quiet normal. These leave will fall off and in the spring the new green leaves will come through. Kind Regards Paul

We have sent a few emails in relation to receiving plant with broken roots but no reply ever since, nobody cares

Camellia received in good condition. Evergreen Azalea received full of black spots and yellow leaves. I would not expect to receive a plant in this condition. After sending pictures Customer services advised it was due to adverse weather and is a healthy plant. I have had the plant assessed elsewhere and am being told it either has fungus or infestation. Customer service advise i will have to return and pay postage of £30 the plant was £32 if i want a refund. Very very poor service.

When you got in contact with us about your issue with the delivery driver we took your complaint very seriously, We listened to your complaint and you received at least 3 follow up emails from us with details of our investigation. I am sorry that the driver was not able to take the plants through your house unfortunately we are not able to do this. Kind Regards Paul

Plant died along with another one. Was advised this was due to the conditions even though 2 other plants purchased with them thrived. Not impressed.

I am very disappointed with my purchase, one of the four trees has died. The customer service was very poor, blaming transportation could be the cause or being planted too close to a big tree. If you look closely at the photo below , you will see the thriving trees are next to a 200ft BIG beech tree and the dead tree is nowhere near the BIG tree. This was their reply to my email.. ‘Root ball hedging is tricky to establish and not always guaranteed to take. With this one being near towards the large tree, this may be struggling to establish as easily as the others. ‘When opting for root balls it is always best to read up as much as possible as we don't offer guarantees. You can also lose one or two to transport shock, so you should allow for the possibility of buying replacements if you do lose any, but it's well worth the risk as the same plants pot grown are far more money and you need more of them to achieve the same result.’ I won’t be buying from this company again, they didn’t even offer a discount on a replacement tree.

Charged a seemingly arbitrary ‘adjustment fee’ of £33.24 after returning plants bought online within the 14 day cooling off period despite being told by customer services that I would only be charged for postage. Had to chase up refund after 3 weeks and then when it did come this adjustment fee was charged and so I have been short changed.

Hi Rory, Thanks for your review, I have looked at your order It looks like you ordered the wrong items. I can see that we refunded your order minus the cost to return the items. This is only to cover our cost of getting the items back here. It just calls it an Adjustment Fee on the paperwork. Hope this clears it up. Thanks Paul

I have previously purchased from Grasslands on numerous occasions and have been extremely happy. Having just recently spent over £1000 on Cherry Laurels, which should of been between 1.8 m -2.0 m I returned 7 as they were undersized. I would of returned more of them, but I had no option due to the fact I was paying a land scape gardener and time is money. On receipt of the returned laurels Grasslands stated they were not undersized and deducted a re stocking fee, without any communication. I provided dated photographic evidence to the contrary. This has been extremely disappointing, subsequently I will not be using Grasslands again. Please check the height of your plants on delivery to ensure you receive what you are paying for.

Plant arrived in very poor condition, the roots were completely dried out and the plant was very limp. 2 of its 4 leaves were yellow and dying. Customer services blamed the warm weather and then never bothered to respond to my next email. For £30 delivery I would have expected a better service.

We ordered four large evergreen trees and with our previous experience in landscaping planted them in accordance to instructions. All but one has died and despite regular communications with grasslands nursery as to the slow deterioration of the trees ensuring transparency- they have refused to refund this purchase or replace the trees. Therefore I will not be purchasing any more from this company or would recommend.

Thought the plants supplied were of poor quality, they appeared not to have been potted not long with very little root, very dissapointed

Other Buyers Have Had Same Issue: Bought some laurel plants and they arrived in very poor state, many holes and black leaves and limpy leaves and nowhere as shown or described on their website. Extremely terrible customer services and very unprofessional standards overall (sounds like it is non existant, it is the sellers/owners acting as customer service!) Definitely taking this matter to the small claims court, as other customers have had SAME issue recently. Trading Standards and the Ombudsman being notified before legal action taken. This is unacceptable and unlawful trading.

Paid £163 for a laburnum tree. Deliver arrived while I was asleep. 06.35 am and tried ringing me. Left damaged outside my property. No planting instructions. Dead within 2 weeks. Contacted them and was told I had planted it wrong although it had no information with the tree or on the website. Owners could not speak to me. PayPal dispute open.

I’m happy with the majority of the plants But foxgloves are very bad almost dead plants, contacted costumer service they replied saying pathetic excuses about the plants and didn’t offer to replace or give me the money back . Very poor service .

Once again appalling customer services. There are errors which they admitted yet refusing to issue a final refund. Rude and do not hardly respond to emails. Had to get citizens advice involved, still ignoring emails. This company is a joke.

It's the 2nd time I ordered from them. The first was pretty good and all of the plants are healthy but the black bamboos I ordered this time are not good. 2 of them are not healthy and one of the cranes is even completely dead and turn into grey. I've contacted customer support and they refused to send me the replacement.
