Spent 1300 on trees and bushes. A tree needed to be returned on understanding we would have to buy another to replace it. When refunded we was charged a re stocking charge of 10% and not given full refund on that tree which was over 100 pounds less than the one we bought for its replacement. The delivery also took a long time to arrive. Won't be using again. Terrible customer service. Pics on site don't match what you recieve.

I bought some plants which were delivered on the 19 of February this year. I was very impressed with the quality of the plants but found that one of the peonies I had ordered was replaced with another which was very different in form and size. Instead of a 2 litre pot of Alexander Fleming, I had a 11cm pot of Paeonia lactiflora ‘Nymphe'. I have emailed 3 times ( 20th, 22nd and 29th February ) to say that I didn't like the replacement peony which was sent without my consent ( contrary to your terms and conditions), and asked for a replacement Alexander Fleming ( which according to your website was in stock) or a full refund. I have not had a reply to my email of 29 February yet. Please would you sort it out. I had planned to buy more plants from your nursery when we received the order on the 19th because they were such good quality but, I am afraid the lack of Customer support has put me off.

All of the hellebores I ordered x 5 (costing just under £100) arrived damaged with the stems on each broken. I contacted the customer service team and sent photos but am struggling to get a reply! Not a good customer experience.

My bare rooted Portuguese laurels arrived looking half dead, I sent the nursery a picture of them saying I didn’t think they would all survive at this point. Several weeks later when quite a few were totally dead I sent another photo and I was told bare root plants were hard to establish and I might have done better with pot grown plants. They wouldn’t replace the dead plants, offered 20% off replacements but I had to pay the postage. Poor customer service I would say. Also parcelforce will no longer leave parcels when you are out and I was told to drive 15 miles to a depot to collect I was out in working hours. All in all a bad experience

The hedging that i ordered was exactly as shown on the website pictures and deserved 5 stars , but sadly the customer service was terrible, i was charged for a pallet despite phoning to ask if this was necessary (and was told it was) . The order took 10 days to arrive, even though on day one i received an email to say it was being processed (wasn't a big order ) and even though bare root it spent from at least Friday to Monday of the 10 days somewhere with parcel force because guess what even though i was charged for a pallet it was just sent in brown paper bags with Parcelforce. I did send several emails over the 10 days to see what was happening but with no joy and finally resorted to phoning which was not a pleasant experience both times i called. Hoping the fact that they were bareroot and left out of soil and water for all this time that they have not been affected ?

Customer service and communication was extremely poor! Placed order called to confirm delivery, advised it was 10 days - which was great as coincided with my gardener being available and I was going away to visit family for half-term. I was away to visit family in midlands( as half-term) and had family up from South (London and Sussex) as it was also my nieces 18th we had family dinner planned - I received text to advise delivery was taking place next day! Tried to call/email no answer! Drove back for delivery which was fine - apart from part of my order missing! Advised it wasn’t available (but no notification). Plants were poor and I duly emailed with photos. I received copy & paste responses! I had to call to 3 times to then get manager call me in my way to work! (Despite advising when I was available)! Shocking service - would not recommend at all as my garden scheme is ruined.

Disappointed. Would not recommend online order. After 3 weeks chat and phone calls delivery finally arrived. My excitement was short lived.

Worth the journey to see what Grasslands was like after good information by other people but it's not for me I prefer a garden centre.

If you’re going to order don’t expect the delivery quickly or any communication from this company very annoying to have to chase them 3 times.

Arrived dead..I emailed only to be told to give them time. I have many fuschia and I can spot dead ones when I see them

I have been asked to pay for returns for an item that was faulty in the first place . Really unhappy with the customer service . I won’t be buying again from Grasslands.

3 weeks to receive order and very poor communication, had to call twice to find out when I was going to receive it and then still had no idea as was with courriers for 5 days before arriving. As a gardening professional, I understand hedging season can create longer lead times- so just give an accurate delivery date on your website? You cant expect professionals, who have jobs booked, to just sit for 3 weeks with no information and wait, if I've been told max 10 days over the phone. Price was competitive, but not much cheaper than other suppliers to be honest. Based on the service, not value for money.

Tree leaves don't look healthy quite a lot of brown, sent a note to customer service they said it will be OK in time and nothing major to worry about.

Hello I have just received my delivery which I ordered on August 7th a long time considering I only live 45 minutes drive away.....After contacting you I was told the plants were delivered on the 15th which was not true...not sure what happened in the end but the plants arrived at last.....but on the email it now looks like the price is now higher than the original price so I hope I havent been charged a higher price and that I havent been charged twice! So please make sure that is not the case in your billing department. Thank you Linda Roger

Communication good, pricing good but ordered 3x 120-130cm laurels and only 1 was within this range. The other 2 looked like they had been pruned and only just made it over a metre. Unfortunately they have only just been checked by myself in preparation for job tomorrow. Another member of staff received the order!

I ordered 2 Ilex Cranata Ilex spirals - they arrived a lot wider than shown on the website. I paid £288.50 including £30 post and packing - however when they arrived they were too wide for the size I had available and so had to reject the delivery....they charged me £95 for the items to be returned and for the 2 items to be put back 'into stock' and refused to refund back the £30 initial postage..so I am now £125 out of pocket for the reverse transaction. I have been in touch with them but they refuse to budge.
